Egypt is a puzzle game with a different twist on the genre. You play as a Indiana Jones type of character that has to rescue this beautifull goddess trapped within the temple. What you have to do is break all the seals that are trapping the goddess. In order to break all the seals you have to solve the puzzles within each room. And you do all this while you are trapped within a cystal ball. There is also 2 additional features to this game. You have the option of playing without a story mode and you have a mode where you can edit different features to the game.
This game was made by a pretty much unknown game company called Human Creative. Programmed for the NES in 1991, just prior to the release of the SNES. Being programmed on a mapper #3 PCB this game remains to be somewhat advanced for this type PCB. Nice graffics,decent sounds,music,and excellent play control, this game is one of the better puzzle games in my opinion.
This game has been worked on by several groups and different people till recently. All the text has been translated for sometime, and the intro text while being small was quite easy to insert for the most part. However the ending dialog was another matter. The game would crash whenever switching screens and sometimes would skip some screens. After going through the code I figured out that the pointers was the cause of this problem. The pointers to the text was not your standard table and was indeed embedded in the code. And after figuring this out the insertion was no problem what so ever.
What remains to be finished is some typos in the intro dialog and I might just clean those up real soon in a update patch possibly.
I have managed to rip the NSF for this game with the help of Quietust while he was explaining how to rip some of the harder NSF rips. Egypt NSF. I personally think game has some cool Egypt sounding tunes, so enjoy.
